Teach how RNA vaccines to coronavirus work
The challenge of coronavirus (causing COVID-19) has led to the development of novel types of vaccines such as ones made of RNA. Our model shows how RNA vaccines work, how they give immunity and what happens when a vaccinated person gets infected with the virus.

The model shows how RNA vaccines make vaccinated cells produce viral proteins (antigens), display them on their cell surface in MHC molecules and stimulate an immune response. This immune response involves cytotoxic T cells, the production of antibodies and the creation of memory cells. It covers vaccine delivery by liposome or viral vector.
Your students will learn about RNA vaccines in the context of coronavirus but the model can be used to teach RNA vaccines in other contexts too.
Time takes about 30 minutes. Dimensions (of cell): 10cm x 7cm / 4in x 2.5in
