What Are Origami Organelles - FAQs

Origami Organelles are downloadable paper models for teaching science. Over 100 models are available covering biology, chemistry, physics and geography. Your students learn by making the model and carrying out an activity with it.

What do you get when you buy an Origami Organelles model?

You receive an email with a link to the downloadable files. This contains a colour manual with background, colour assembly guide, colour and mono templates for the model and a Powerpoint classroom presentation. Once the files are saved on your hard drive you can print them as many times as you like!

What if I don't receive the email with the link?

Please check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, please contact us at: info@discoveringdna.com and we will resend. We sometimes need an alternative email address to solve the problem if our email keeps getting blocked.

I’ve accidentally deleted or lost my download, can I download it again?

Don't worry! Please contact us at info@discoveringdna.com and we will resend the files.

What size paper can I print my model on?

Origami Organelles are optimised for A4 (210 x 297mm) or US Letter Size. To print on your printer simply select “scale to fit paper”.

Do I need special origami paper?

No - normal printer paper is just fine!

Are the models hard to make?

No they are designed for typical students to be able to make them. They all come with a Powerpoint that illustrates how to make them. No origami skills are needed. We give an indication of how long they take to make although this will vary with different people. We suggest having a go at making the model yourself first so you are familiar with how to make it.

Can I share the files with a friend?

Once you have made your Origami Organelles model it is understandable that you would want to share the files with a friend. Please don’t. Dominic and Melanie Delaney have invested a lot of time and money in the development of these sets. In order for us to continue bringing you innovative sets your support is vital.

What does the licence allow me to do?

The downloads are for unlimited use on a single site/campus only. If you intend to use it on more than one site/campus please email info@discoveringdna.com for pricing.
